The unique oval shape of Primo’s Kamados allows you to simultaneously cook in two distinct areas, providing the most versatile ceramic grill design. You won’t have to wait for a thick steak to sear or have to totally reset your charcoal again – these grills allow you to do everything at once. Primo grills give you the power to sear a thick steak and then slow cook it to perfection.
Grill directly on the porcelain-coated cooking grates or use the stainless steel warming/smoking racks to indirect cook larger cuts of meat. Installation is a breeze with the built-in levelers, and the all-terrain wheels make it easy to move your grill around the patio or deck.
Whether you’re grilling for one or a crowd, there is a Primo grill that will fit your needs. The Mini is perfect for small patios or balconies, while the Large can accommodate a full 20-pound turkey. And if you’re looking for something in between, check out the Primo Oval Junior or Primo Oval XL 400.
No matter which model you choose, you’ll enjoy superior construction, excellent heat retention, and easy temperature control. So fire up your Primo Kamado grill and get ready for a truly unique grilling experience.

When grilling steaks, the unique two-zone indirect cooking functionality of the Primo Grill shines. Using the “reverse sear” technique to grill steaks allows you to have a steak that’s better than a steakhouse steak.
Set the grill for two zone cooking: light one side of the grill and place a plate over the other. Set the grill temperature at around 225 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the steaks on the indirect side when they’re ready. To season steaks, lightly oil them with olive oil, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper before grilling. Allow the steaks to cook, undisturbed, for around 5 minutes.
Flip the steaks and continue cooking on the indirect side until they reach an internal temperature of about 110 degrees Fahrenheit (for medium rare). Move your steaks over to the direct heat side of the grill and sear them for another minute or two per side, until browned and crisp. Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
