That pushes us toward wood stoves sized to genuinely heat, standing-pilot systems and battery backup, and away from anything that stops working when the power does.
We are NFI certified and we pull Jefferson County permits. Clearances and chimney height matter more on mountain properties, and we would rather work that out before you buy than after.
