A lot of Lakewood is post-war brick with a masonry fireplace that has never been lined — an insert transforms those, but only after the flue is dealt with properly. Green Mountain and Solterra are a different job again: newer, tighter, often already plumbed for gas, and usually asking for a linear unit rather than a traditional box.
